A Note from a Student

Years ago, I was given a plastic folder with happy faces on it. Another educator said to keep this folder with all the things that make you happy and glad to be a teacher. After all these years, I am happy to say that folder is overflowing.

Last night, I took out of the closet an old coat I had not worn in close to 15 years (it’s taken me that long to get back into that size L).  Later, I reached into the pocket and pulled out an old note. It was written by a student.

            Dear Mr. Rodriuquez,

                        You Are the best at being the best thats why… I Don’t want you to be mad at me!

                        Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas LOL

Thanks Shanice! I don’t quite remember you, but I will add the note to the folder. I still cherish all the notes I get from students and educators and have a pile to add to the folder.
